arrow  Dry skin

arrow  Sensitive skin

arrow Normal skin back to top

appearance

Normal skin is not oily or dry and blemishes free.

It is firm, with a healthy appearance.

It is normally smooth with small pores.

maintenance

If you are lucky enough to have normal skin you want to keep it that way.

Good care and the right products are recommended to maintain this skin type.

arrow Combination skin back to top

appearance

Combination skin can have an oily T-zone but a normal to dry area around the cheeks.

Or oily along the chin, jaw line and at the temples, but normal to dry skin everywhere else.

maintenance

Combination skin should be cared for as if it is a combination of two different skin types.

Combinations can be extreme with very dry patches or very oily patches which need more care with specific products for each area.

Avoid rich moisturisers that make oily areas worse and strong cleansers that worsen dry areas.

arrow Exfoliation pay more attention to t-zone areas with microdermabrasion cream

It may also have patches of flakiness around the nose where excess oils have dried.

maintenance

Oily can protect your skin against signs of aging so its not all bad !
The way to care for oily skin is to control the production of excess oil without striping the oils needed from the skin. Heredity and hormones play a role in whether or not you have oily skin.

maintenance

Overproduction of oil, limited shedding of dead skin cells and a build-up of bacteria result in irritation of the hair follicles, acne occurs when the hair follicles become clogged with oil and dead skin cells. Products can reduce oil production, speed up skin cell turnover and fighting bacterial infection.

Use only water-based cosmetics if you have oily skin.

Comb or pull hair back to keep hair out of the face.

Don't squeeze, scratch, pick or rub lesions, since they can increase skin damage.

Wash your hands before and after touching skin lesions to reduce the chance of infection.
Don't rest your face on your hands. This irritates the skin of the face.

Avoid greasy cosmetics or creams, which can aggravate acne.
